

Car Masutra launched the first of its range of male toiletries at the Classic Motor Show on the 13th November. A record 48,000 enthusiasts attended the show over the three days, and every one of them who visited our stand seemed to love the Car Masutra brand! The Body Work shower gel, Petrol Head shampoo and Flash Git bath soak went down a storm and was covertly slipped into many a wifely handbag ready for Christmas stockings.

Car Masutra, the brand for the ‘man who loves his car’, is to launch its range of male toiletries at the Classic Motor Show at the NEC, Birmingham on 13th to 15th November 2009.
The three new products to be launched at the Show are ‘Flash Git’ bath foam, ‘Petrol Head’ 3 in 1 shampoo and ‘Screen Wash’ shower gel. The products are made in England, with high quality ingredients, have not been tested on animals (‘other than on men!’) and packaging is made up of recycled materials.
The first Car Masutra product, a book of cartoons and ditties entitled The Man Who Loves His Car, launched at the Classic Car Show in 2006. ‘I have great memories of The Classic Car Show – its visitors absolutely ‘get’ Car Masutra, so I’m really excited to be launching again at the Show’ says Mary Bird, the book’s author and creator.
Mary is an original thinker with a vibrant lifestyle and stories to match! The daughter of a Suffolk rector, she spent her twenties in London working in the fashion and music businesses, before returning to live in rural Suffolk where she launched Car Masutra. The book rapidly made it into Amazon’s best seller list and onto the shelves of Waterstone’s.
‘Writing ditties and drawing cartoons is just my way of life’ says Mary. ‘The original Car Masutra book was my way of expressing feelings for my ‘man who loved his car’ and still today I always find myself thinking in rhythm and rhyme. It’s fun and means you never take yourself too seriously!’
